Fine Dining at The Oberoi Bangalore

The Oberoi, Banagalore enjoys a favorable position as the best hotel in Bangalore. In addition to its location and mesmerizing exteriors, another USP of the luxury hotel is its 3 fabulous restaurants and 1 popular bar where the who’s who of Bangalore hobnobs over informal drinks. Aptly named as Le Jardin, Schezwan Court and Rim Naam, the 3 restaurants are a hit with hotel guests and locals alike. Here’s a lowdown on each:
Oberoi Hotel, Bangalore

1-      Le Jardin: It is classy to the point of being snobbish. Le Jardin is an all-day dining restaurant where the best of world cuisines are served. Translated from French as “the garden”, the restaurant serves both a la carte menu and buffets for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The restaurant draws a lot of inspiration from French architecture, evident from its large windows that overlook a lily pond and lush green gardens. Teakwood flooring, rosewood furniture and colonial pillars only add to its aristocratic charm. The food? It is awesome and Le Jardin consistently features on must-visit lists in Bangalore.

2-      Schezwan Court: Winner of several culinary awards for its expertise in Chinese cuisine, the Schezwan Court draws patrons from far and wide.  Adjacent to this wonderful restaurant is a gushing waterfall that provides serene vistas from its colonial windows. There are 2 private dining rooms, each with a seating capacity of 8. Chinese motifs adorn its walls and soothing oriental music strums in the background. The most popular dishes served by Schezwan Court are stir fried lobster and sweet chilli pork ribs. Do not miss out on the Dim Sum lunches offered with delectable desserts.

3-      Rim Naan: Again, a recipient of several awards for its Continental cuisine, Rim Naan is a Thai restaurant set adjacent to a lily pond. Lush green lawns surround Rim Naan whose forte is exotic sea food and serves some of the best shrimps in Bangalore. The best time to visit this restaurant is at night when the ambience is filled with aroma from frangipani shrubs. On Sundays, there are special gourmet lunches that offer a range of delectable prawns, lobsters, shrimps and fish. If you are visiting with kids, babysitters can be arranged so that you enjoy an intimate time. For the recreation of guests, there are magic shows and impromptu jigs by local bands. Rim Naan has an enviable collection of wines, champagnes and scotch to accompany your meals.

All three restaurants of Oberoi Bangalore accept and encourage prior reservation, especially on weekends.
